Lowcode Garage Is Now Unprompted

By Unprompted|January 6, 2026|3 min read

Lowcode Garage is evolving. Here's what's next—and why the name change matters.

Allow Us to Reintroduce Ourselves

The best creators and builders in history didn't wait for permission.

They didn't wait for unanimous buy-in, perfect alignment, or reassurance from the status quo. They started because they saw something missing, broken, or unexplored.

This pattern shows up again and again throughout history. Isaac Newton developed the foundations of calculus and classical mechanics largely in isolation, driven by questions that didn't yet have a clear audience or immediate payoff. The Wright brothers, dismissed by many established engineers of their time, quietly experimented until controlled, powered flight went from implausible to inevitable. And Johannes Gutenberg, working outside traditional scholarly institutions, reimagined printing in a way that radically lowered the cost of knowledge and reshaped how ideas spread.

None of these efforts began with consensus. They began with initiative—people moving unprompted, before the path was fully defined.

Introducing Unprompted

Lowcode Garage is now Unprompted.

We started this company in the basement of an apartment building after leaving a well-funded, a16z-backed startup. On paper, it didn't make much sense—but it was deliberate. We saw a generational shift underway with AI, fundamentally changing how software is built and who gets to build it.

We believed that mastering these tools would let us work differently. Faster. Leaner. With far less friction. The old model—bloated teams, endless planning cycles, and heavy process—no longer felt necessary. With the right tools and the right mindset, small teams could move quickly and build meaningful software without waiting for permission.

We could build at full speed—unprompted.

Unprompted isn't totally new for us. From the beginning, our newsletter has carried the same name—a place where we've shared what we're learning, building, and thinking about as this shift unfolds. If you're not already subscribed, you can sign up here.

What "Unprompted" Means to Us

Unprompted isn't just a name change. It's how we operate.

  • It means taking initiative instead of waiting for instructions.
  • It means moving quickly when something feels right.
  • It means staying curious, shipping early, and learning in motion.

It also reflects how we partner with clients. We don't just execute on a static set of requirements—we engage, explore, and push forward together. We aim to be proactive, thoughtful partners who care deeply about momentum and outcomes, not just deliverables.

What We Build

Our mission remains the same: to build intuitive technology with a human touch.

From custom AI solutions, to scalable internal tools, to standalone products, we focus on software that fits how people actually work. Our goal is simple: to meaningfully multiply your output with technology that removes friction instead of adding it.

Looking Ahead

Kicking off our business in 2025 was just the beginning. This change is about setting a foundation for where we're headed next—and how we want to show up for the people we work with.

We're excited to dive into 2026, unprompted, and see what we build together.

Thanks for being part of the journey.
